How we work

A designer who doesn't sell furniture

Design content online is a shopping catalog with nice photography. The rooms in it were styled for a camera, in houses that look nothing like yours.

Orvanii works from your floor plan, your light and your budget. We earn nothing from what you buy, so we'll happily tell you to keep the sofa, paint the walls and spend the money on lighting instead.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Is this the same as hiring an interior designer?

No. A full-service designer does the sourcing, ordering and project management, and charges accordingly. We coach you through the decisions and you do the work.

Do you do floor plans?

We draw simple scaled layouts from your measurements for arranging furniture. We don't do architectural drawings, structural work or anything requiring a permit — that needs a licensed professional.

I rent. Is it worth it?

Yes, and it's a common case. We focus on what's reversible: lighting, textiles, layout, freestanding pieces, removable finishes.

Do you recommend specific stores?

We'll describe what to look for and where that type of thing is usually found. We take no commissions and have no retail partners.

What if I have no budget for furniture?

Layout, light and styling change a room more than most purchases. Plenty of clients finish a room having bought almost nothing.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contract, no minimum term. Access stays open until the end of the month you already paid for.

Which room have you been avoiding?

Twenty minutes on that room and what's actually blocking it. Free, and nobody sells you a sofa.
